SFS Endowment Fund

The Sinai Free Synagogue Endowment Fund was established by our Board of Directors soon after the formation of our Synagogue in 1999. The Fund was conceived with the intent to create a financial basis of protecting the long term viability of our congregation and the presence of our synagogue in Southern Westchester for generations to come.

Customary giving to the Endowment Fund has included the honoring of individuals, the marking of significant life cycle events and the memorializing of beloved friends and family members.

Contributions to the fund provide for our congregation’s future by investing its principal to provide both for long term growth as well as the opportunity to augment the annual needs of synagogue programs once the fund reaches certain benchmarks in size.

The Endowment Fund Committee is comprised of four synagogue members – a committee chairperson appointed by the president, the congregation’s budget director and two lay members of the congregation. Contributions may be made by contacting the synagogue office.
