The Religious School

Our religious school provides outstanding religious training for our young people. The school is fully accredited both by the New York Federation of Reform Synagogues of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations and by the Board of Jewish Education of New York.

Religious school begins with kindergarten and continues past Confirmation. The curriculum includes the study of Jewish history and traditions, the Bible, Hebrew, Israel, and, from an historical perspective, what it means to be a Jew today. Our Confirmation class is taught by the Rabbi.

Our Bar and Bat Mitzvah students, trained by the Rabbi and Cantor, lead the prayer service, chant or read portions of the Torah and Haftarah, and deliver a D'Var Torah.

Our school emphasizes that learning is a lifelong process that does not end with Bar or Bat Mitzvah.
